I built No Nonsense Weight Loss.com to be a free resource for people looking for tips and ideas for losing weight.
Everything written here is based 100% on my own experiences with weight loss. At my annual checkup a couple of years ago, I had hit the 200 lb. mark and my doctor told me he wanted me to lose at least 15 lbs.
I also found out, through blood work that was done as part of my checkup, that my cholesterol was at 200, which is not good. It had always been down in the 150 – 160 range in the past.
After that doctor visit, I made a few small changes to try to drop a few pounds, but all I managed to do was maintain my weight. I didn’t really gain and I didn’t really lose. So after being stuck in that rut for almost a year, I finally decided to really do something about it and get serious.
At the end of April/beginning of May, 2012, I was sitting in my recliner one evening. It was sometime after 8 PM and my wife asked me what I wanted for a snack. I looked down at the roll on my belly and told her I wouldn’t be having anymore nighttime snacks. I was done with being overweight and was going to lose the weight I needed to lose!
From that day, forward, I embarked on a weight loss journey that I had to find my way through on my own, with no preconceived ideas or diet plans to use as a guide.
I knew that fad diets weren’t the answer. I had seen way too many other people use gimmicks to lose weight, only to put it back on afterward, and then some.
So this is how No Nonsense Weight Loss was born.
I hope you enjoy reading all of the info I post and that you learn something from it that will help you lose weight, get healthier and feel better about yourself!
Please keep in mind that I am not a doctor or health professional. These methods worked for me and they continue to work to keep me healthy, in good shape and at my desired weight.
